The 4 day IOSH Managing Safely course is aimed at management or supervisory level staff - it doesn't intend to make anyone a health and safety expert, but it does give a good grounding in all health and safety management issues. The content includes:

- The Basics of Health and Safety Law - the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and other associated regulations
- Common Hazards that will be found in most organisations - noise, manual handling, electricity, slips etc.
- Investigating Accidents, Ill-health and Near Misses - how to record and investigate incidents
- Measuring Health and Safety Performance - inspections, tours and other proactive methods to measure health and safety performance
- Environmental Protection - the main laws and guidance relating to protecting the environment
